Peter Eland

Peter joined the International Teledemocracy Centre in April 2007.

Peter's academic background includes an HND in Graphic Design at Falkirk College and a BA Hons in Applied Graphics and Multimedia at Caledonian university. He then went on to study his postgraduate MSc Masters degree in IT at Stirling University and graduated in 2005. His dissertation was titled ‘Design of a web based system for managing IT project proposals’ and included development of a PHP/MySQL web based content management system for Stirling University.

Between completing his Postgraduate degree in IT and working for Napier, his main role has been working as a Software developer with an bespoke software company developing Desktop, PDA and Web Solutions using technologies such as .NET, ASP, MS Access VBA and SQL Server for clients both North and South of the border.

Peter is now a Research Associate currently working on further development of the e-democracy tools for Highland Youth Voice (a youth parliament for the Highland region of Scotland).

Peter enjoys many fitness activities, such as running and weights as well as being a films buff he is interested in the latest gadgets and anything IT-related.
